New Year, New Opportunities (and New Pies!!)

Well even though it's been slow here on the blog (was my last post REALLY eight months ago??), it's been full-steam-ahead busy for Mama Crunk's!

Even though it hasn't been the easiest year (and honestly, what does an easy year look like for a fledging entrepeuneur/baker? Not entirely sure if it exists. If it does, tell it I'm looking for it and I miss sleep), it's been an extremely productive one with tons of growth, lessons and lots and lots of butter as always. Even though it's been hard to keep perspective after long days and nights rolling dough and standing over hot stoves of bubbling sugars, I'm truly shocked how my little passion project has grown.


Not only can you now find our pies in more local businesses like Revelator Coffee Chattanooga, Speed Deluxe and Weekly Fig, you can also still find us at pluscoffee.co and Bread & Butter as well! We are so lucky to have such a wonderful and supportive small business community here in Chattanooga propping each other up and I have been eternally grateful for this :)


In addition to being in more local businesses and shops, we've been able to serve more and more customers and participate in lots of fun events from weddings:


 a sweet pie for a sweet couple


...to pop-ups at breweries like Hop City in Birmingham:


 a twist on pie ala mode that we're not forgetting about anytime soon - a steak and ale pie topped with garlic and herb mashed potatoes and smothered in Hop City's Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout gravy.


I also survived the holiday season and came out (relatively) unscathed, which is amazing considering we saw more than four times the orders we did last year! We love our customers so much!!


When asked what I envision for the next year, I just say I'd like to have more fun. The perks of being your own boss mean you can make your business what you want. So I plan to experiment with more flavors, forge more relationships with local businesses as well as local produce and food vendors to bring the very best ingredients to my pies and do more pop-ups where I can bring you some of the creative flavors dancing in my head directly to you! Thanks for all of those keeping tabs on Mama Crunk's and I so appreciate your continued support. Now onto a fantastic 2018!!!
